I think the Packers are looking at an 11 win season and a trip to the NFC championshi

The 2009 schedule looks far more favorable than last year`s and one could forsee an improvement of 4 to 5 wins making the playoffs a definite possiblity.

It is hard not to be optimistic at this time of year, no injuries, no losses and all the articles I read about Green Bay speak of how happy the team is with the progress of this and the athleticism of that, but the cold reality is you have to play the games. As a football fan I see a lot of positive signs for the Packers especially at the quarterback position so at the risk of being labeled a \” homer \” , I think the Packers are looking at an 11 win season and a trip to the NFC championship game. source usdailysports.com more

11.30am
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first day of the Betfair weekend at Ascot, the cornerstone of which is tomorrow’s £1m King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Betfair have completely taken over the place, so much so that Tony Calvin, the exchange’s communication guru, is trumpeting the presence of Betfair Bitter. Apparently the firm went down to a local micro-brewery and have crafted a wicked brew. No gags about exchanging fluids please…

Anyway, the weekend has got off to an inauspicious start. There is rain around, and the walk up Ascot hill from the railway station was not what I had envisaged. Dark clouds suggest something more than the gentle shower that got me slightly wet, too. Clerk of the course Chris Stickels has taken a more scientific approach to forecasting. \”The forecast for today is for showers, some heavy,\” he said. \”There has been 3.5mm of rain during the past 24 hours.\” Stickels is yet to walk the track since I’ve been here, but I’ll update you all on the going description when he dons his wellies and get out there.

Keeper League Differences…

I run a keeper league and just wanted to see what other leagues are doing out there and share some of our things here to.

Every year I hear about something one league does and love finding out how each league is affected by all the NFL roster moves, rookies, etc.

Basically I just love talking football and fantasy football and can’t wait for the season to start.

The Heat was on at Worcester

After almost ten months of sorting out a waterlogged racecourse, Worcester Racecourse was only too happy to open its doors to horse racing in the beginning of May. But yesterday, 1 July 2009, Mother Nature once again proved that she was a force to be reckoned with, when an almost unbearable heat wave hit the racecourse and had everyone a little hot under the collar. The heat proved to be too much for the horses and after the havoc that incurred after the first race, the rest of the meeting was cancelled, which has led to an investigation. more
