Nascar Sprint Cup Drivers With The Most Fans in 2011

NASCAR has been on a roll the last couple years, and fans are newly introduced to the sport of Auto Racing. Fans like being at a race live and have found that Nascar Tickets are easy to come by. I started watching Nascar racing in 2003 and quickly became a fan of Matt Kenseth, who at the time driving the number 17 Dewalt Ford for Roush Racing. I enjoyed the idea that Matt was different from the majority of the other drivers, always remaining under control, even if someone may have crashed him. I was excited that Matt won it all that year, even if NASCAR felt the need to change the point system following that season. Matt Kenseth is still a great driver, he is currently driving the 17 Crown Royal car.

Tony Stewart, driver of the number 14 Home Depot car, is another favorite. While his attitude is totally different than Kenneth’s, the guy knows how to win. He has done very well in every level of professional racing. From dirt tracks, to the Indy 500, to eventual NASCAR points, Stewart has done it all. He has mellowed to a certain degree, as he was known to get into it with other drivers in the past. He now seems content to let his driving skills do the talking.

Jimmie Johnson had turned himself into the Michael Jordan of NASCAR stock car racing. He has driven his number 48 Lowes Chevrolet to an incredible five consecutive cup season championships. Not even #43, Richard Petty, managed to do that. Jimmie faces some hurdles, as some fans are tired of seeing him victorious. Even the (fans have to give him credit however.

Kyle Busch has emerged from his brother’s shadow, having amazing success in #18 M and M car. The thing I love about Kyle Busch is he loves to race. Kyle has driven in all three races, NASCAR SPRINT CUP, Nationwide, and the Truck series. He has even swept all three Nascar Series in one weekend. He is young, and brings lots of excitement and energy to NASCAR.

The final of my favorite Nascar drivers is Tony Raines. He is currently looking for a sponsor, but the guy is tough. Despite regularly starting at the rear of the field, he makes the best of it. He generally manages to get the most out of the car, even though he does not have top flight equipment. It would be really great to this veteran driver get a chance in a sponsored ride in 2011.

The leading merchandise sales of all the Nascar drivers is Dale Earnhardt Jr who drives the #88 National Guard AMP Energy Car. The Nascar Sprint Cup season is off to an fantastic start, catch the fever.
